Keeping with the new trends and inspirations that have come to the bridal fashion houses for the upcoming seasons is the new line from St. Pucchi. I adore St. Pucchi, because with all of their gowns, no matter the season, they are inspired, other-worldly, and yet appear to be classic and modern at the same time. This next season is no different:
The latest collection inspired by designer Rani Totman’s roots in Thailand, regenerates true romance. A focus on texture and lace gives this collection an angelic and romantic feel. The collection consists of elegant form fitting gowns that have become extremely popular with the St. Pucchi bride along with tiered skirts, fit and flare as well as a few traditional ball gowns, some with exaggerated trains. Along with the staple strapless choices in the collection, Rani has designed a versatile selection of cap, strap and long sleeve gowns.
The collection also offers short, flirty gowns to complement the line– perfect for the rehearsal dinner or impromptu dress change for late night celebrating during the reception.
As I was thumbing through the Summer lookbook for Laundry, I fell in love with the summer dresses! I thought they would be perfect for the St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island wedding rehearsal dinner parties here in our area. Our weather is inviting all year round, so they are totally reflective of the occasion– chic with the right touch of formal, while still adding a bit of personality.

Rita Vinieris has to be one of my favorite designers for her creativity and passion she pours into every gown. They are so realistic, but also add a touch of fantasy that makes any woman feel like a million dollars. As Bridal Week ramps up, Rita has created the Return to Paradise– a theme of this season’s collection inspired by one of our favorite places– the Riviera Maya. Rita said:
“I was inspired by my recent Holiday to the Riviera Maya and a walk I had taken with my family on the beach.
We found so many wonderful seashells of the most incredible shades of coral, sand and mother of pearl.
These beautiful souvenirs have graced the corner of my deck, reminding me everyday of the sunlight on my face and the warmth I felt being surrounded by the ones I love.
It is that feeling I wish to share with brides wearing my collection.”
Here are the sketches of Rita’s inspiration. I cannot wait to see them in person!

Many grooms and their brides wonder what proper decorum calls for when it comes to the gentlemen’s attire. Suit or tux? Match the bridesmaids or complement the bridesmaids? Most often though, we get questions about the boutonniere and the pocket square. Aside from the tie (and vest if you are incorporating one), the boutonniere is a great way to add personality, color and texture to the groomsmen’s outfit.
We checked with Glen Antoine Palmer of The Gentlemen’s Standard to help us out with this one when we asked if a man could wear both a boutonniere and pocket square. He feels there is absolutely no reason to have to choose between the two. “Of course! A stylish gentleman will always be equipped with a trusty & handsome pocket square. The wedding boutonniere is just an added flourish to the wedding ensemble.”
Glen also adds, “The wedding boutonniere is just an added flourish to the wedding ensemble. Since your boutonniere will surely complement your wedding colors, the gentleman must ensure that his pocket square is relatively tastefully understated.” Traditionally, the groom’s boutonniere should be composed of a single bloom plucked directly from the bridal bouquet. While that is an endearing sentiment, today, the boutonniere is a great form of expression of the wedding or groom’s personality. You’ve probably picked up on this with the influx of non-floral boutonnieres as well featuring pinwheels, buttons or fabric. This has to be one of the cutest and creative boutonniere sets I’ve seen (only because I am a mom to a little superhero)! I’m sure each guy picked his favorite:
How do you avoid overdoing it? Glen has a solution for that, too: “You don’t want too much competition going on to the point where it distracts the eye. Clean and subtle. Now is not the occasion to break out the wildly patterned pocket square. Instead, look for a pocket square that is neutral to its surroundings, yet adds a bit of discrete flavor into the mix.” Glen is very true to his word– he did both at his own wedding:

Still loving the classic glamour that has been raging this season, I came across Veluz. Veluz Reyes’ custom designs are nothing short of glorious. The intricate details that adorn her gowns– from bodices to trains, are absolutely divine. They are a true homage to the classic, timeless, yet glamorous bride.
If you think the beading of this bodice and neckline are amazing, wait until you see the rest of the dress:

I am truly adoring the fall and winter line from Anne Barge! It is truly a throwback to the Great Gatsby-esque glam of yesteryear. While vintage weddings are still hanging on, glamour is also still making a huge impact, so this is a great mélange of the two styles. Anne says that this season, “We were all about lace. Totally romantic, ethereal, and very classic Anne Barge this season. My inspiration for this collection comes from a historical take on texture.”
And there is definitely plenty here! The rich complexities of the garments, bias cuts, sweetheart necklines, layers and lots of details!
Are you planning to go vintage glam?
