We Likey: Wiley Valentine

Wiley Valentine has my heart (pardon the pun).  Their work is exquisite, luscious (my new word, BTW), and captivating.  Ok, so you think I’m being dramatic?  Nope!  Check out their wedding invitations:

Marie Antoinette (my favorite):

There are so many fantastic suites that are in the Wiley Valentine line like Luxe and Luxe II, the eco-friendly Bridal, and the luxurious Letterpress.  I did want to share a few from those lines and encourage you to view their other collections—like those for social events and for baby!  And needless to say, the WV Couture line is fabulous all by itself.

Enjoy the beauty of Wiley Valentine!

{Papier Tuesday} Gourmet Invitations

When I was blessed to attend and speak at Eventology, one of the sponsors was Gourmet Invitations. I was so impressed with place cards, escort cards and other materials Tifany contributed, I couldn’t wait to feature her for Papier Tuesday.  While looking for different sets to feature for this blog post, I was really impressed with the many ideas and styles that Gourmet Invitations offers. Be sure to check out the Gourmet Invitations Blog, as you will see that each set has its own individual story.  I loved reading each one, as it became apparent how the story influenced the concept of the design.  It was great to see how Tifany brought that out and truly made those ideas flow into the suites she created.

I love how Tifany’s creativity is never pigeon-holed into one particular design.  She is able to recreate the event vision through paper before your eyes and have it flow through out the entire invitation suite, menus, seating charts and other cards. From vintage to modern, romantic to energetic, there is no limit to what Gourmet Invitations can inspire.

Papier Tuesday :: The Stationery Guides

This week’s feature isn’t necessarily stationery company, but a collection of stationery experts to assist you with your stationery needs.  From showers to invites, the Stationery Guides give practical advice about choosing the right papers, designs, and themes.  Because all of the guides are active paper professionals, you will see a myriad of ideas and concepts that could be easily applied to your wedding or event, like invitation inspired cakes or the difference between custom designed and personalized invitations.  And how could I forget—they share some of their great designs too!

Here are some of the ones I love:

:: Shakespeare’s Bride ::

:: Feterie ::

:: Shimmer Studios ::

What’s even better is that each day is dedicated to something specific over at the Stationery Guides—so you won’t be overwhelmed with information overload.  Check them out and get inspired!

{Papier Tuesday} Bella Figura

I’m late, I know.

My new work out and schedule is putting me on my butt. Literally.

box I did have to blog about a fabulous  invite company that I am swooning over. Bella Figura has been on my list of beautiful invites for a long time, but I recently received a GORGEOUS box of samples from them that has made me their number one fan.

bellafigurapink I am so big on romance– but this takes it to a whole new level for me. It’s almost like a vintage romance. Letterpress is soon becoming the new black among couture invitations. Bella Figura uses cast-iron presses on 100% thick cotton paper exclusively made for them by a historic European paper mill. As their letter to me said, “Letterpress is a historic way of printing, like engraving: it’s both time-intensive and timeless”. The work is beautiful– I couldn’t help feeling like I had traveled though time and was reading a love note.

What’s even better is that their paper is made form reclaimed fibers. But Bella Figura’s green efforts don’t just stop there, they are 100% wind-powered and carbon neutral. They also donate 1% of their sales to environmental causes by 1% for the Planet.

The Bella Figura print shop also offers binding, calligraphy, edge painting, die-cutting and assembly of custom pocketfolds and enclosures, duplexing, double-sided printing and color matching using the Pantone Matching System.

Andrea, thank you SO much for allowing me to experience Bella Figura first hand. I am truly enamored.

This little card was adhered to the front of a beautiful chocolate envelope that held a few duplexed cards. It was beautiful! Here are some of the pieces that came in my samples kit. It consisted of coasters (which had the couple’s name and wedding date on one side and a signature drink recipe on the other), invitations, menus, and other cards. So swoon worthy.
