Real King and Prince Wedding: Stephanie & Lee

Stephanie and Lee’s beautiful Saint Simons wedding was everything that weddings should be made of– family, fun and food! There were so many beautiful personal touches to their wedding that it made guests a part of the day instead of just spectators.  In working with them both, it was clear that the party was crucial to the experience of the wedding, but it was very important to elevate and celebrate their faith and family.

Special Touch:  We incorporated Stephanie’s mom’s nursing pins on to her bouquet. This was Stephanie’s way of having her mom with her after her passing the year before.

Fun Moment:  All of the guests surrounded the dance floor to sing the couple’s favorite song

Unique Detail: Instead of just cake, we incorporated a donut and coffee bar mid reception.  Huge hit.

Color Fabulous: Blue +Purple

There are no richer tones than blue and purple.  There is just something extremely royal about these two colors when they are in their deep, jewel toned shades.  Also, in their softer tones, they are very ethereal and light– almost airy.

I love the softness of the florals, too– hydrangeas are beautiful flowers with full blooms that come in light blues and purples, which is perfect for this particular palette.  As you can see, when placed against white or ivory (even the shimmery gold linen as pictured), it is a heavenly mix!

This palette is just as striking with its blend of sapphire and amethyst. It adds a bit more formality to the event, but still carries it well on its own– even with a little whimsy, as seen with the feathers.  If you’re looking for impact– these are your colors.

Color Fabulous: Navy + Yellow

There’s just something about the blend of navy and yellow that exudes class, sophistication and style.  These colors aren’t quiet in the slightest– they expect and demand to be noticed, which is why it is imperative that when used for your wedding that they are styled tastefully.  They can be used for a gorgeous summer outdoor wedding or add a little pop to a cosmopolitan night affair.

Yellow and Navy can be intertwined into your event palette with your food as well– check out this gorgeous blueberry limoncello from Giada de Laurentiis. It would make a perfect pre-wedding ceremony cocktail or your signature drink during your reception.  These beautiful limoncello parfaits would also be the perfect signature dessert!
