As we’ve mentioned– we are the coordinator of fabulous for the Jekyll Dream Wedding, and now we are taking over Jekyll Island’s Facebook Page on Wedding Wednesdays! Each week, we’ll share behind the scenes interviews and showcases of the Dream Makers of the Say “I Do” Like a Millionaire Giveaway, gorgeous looks into the island and so much more! Additionally, you’ll have a chance to have ‘Tinis with Terrica! That’s right– I’ll be doing live Q+A each week with brides, grooms, mothers and more, each week!

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds will celebrate their nuptials with invited guests at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel’s Crane Cottage, which Architectural Record in 1924 named “the most expensive and elegant winter home ever built on Jekyll Island.” The wedding party and guests will be treated to a delicious meal prepared by the renowned chefs of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. Some people love their jobs because it instills a greater purpose or some philanthropic ideal. I think that’s great.

I love my job because I get to dress up, handed a martini and laugh with co-workers for a magazine spread. Trust me, that’s great, too.

The above photo is from the Swinging Summit feature in Golden Isles Magazine’s January/February issue (p. 49) on the area’s local wedding professionals. It was an ode to the Oceans 11-Frank Sinatra Rat Pack era and was absolute, unadulterated fun! At the second shoot, I was able to clink it up with other female wedding pros—the culinary creative Laura Justice of Tasteful Temptations Catering and uber-sweet photographer Sarah DeShaw at the gorgeous Ocean Lodge. Somehow, it looks like I played the femme fatale, but you know what they say about life imitating art, yes?

Annie + Mike’s wedding just a ridiculous amount of fun. It all started on Jekyll Island at the beautiful, historic Faith Chapel where one of their friends serenaded them during the ceremony. The look on Mike’s face as Annie walked to meet him at the altar was unforgettable. Annie was every bit of the classic beauty and was absolutely glowing the entire day, thanks to Mike and the incomparable James Grella of Image Artisans, who did her hair and makeup.

After the ceremony, the party began at A.W. Jones Heritage Center Museum on St. Simons Island. Straton Hall knocked it out of the park with their champagne chicken and Heidi of Rosalee’s Flowery did a fantastic job of creating ambiance with fresh, citrus inspired flowers and hanging arrangements from the fixtures. Island Sound had everyone on the dance floor all night—at the end of the night, they even went on to do an after party!

Tony and Lisa Harrell were AMAZING to work with. This was my first time with them, but I know it will not be the last. They were so much fun and easy going—capturing all of the tender moments. A wedding planner’s dream 🙂 They took Annie + Mike out the next morning for a Trash the Dress session that was done so elegantly:

Now Showing: Real Jekyll Island Wedding Starring Ashaki & Embry

Over the summer, we were so very honored and excited to finally produce an event that only held us spellbound creatively, but also emotionally. Ashaki and Embry became more than just great clients over the course of our planning, but great friends (I miss them so! Thank heavens for Facebook!). The two were married at the beautiful historic Crane Cottage at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel for an outdoor wedding and reception. In addition to the great details that kept us sketching, bustling and literally enthralled, we had the opportunity to work with some of the best vendors like the phenomenal Agnes Lopez and Gay Whatley, as well as the outstanding band from Atlanta, Excite and local favorite, Tommy Tucker of Dance Jammers who provided the tunes for the after party (which was a tribute to the great, late Michael Jackson and some how had a remix of Hava Nagila. I will never question the depth of Tommy’s music library, every again. Ever.) Our team was also fortunate to work with the ever so talented Christina Grimsley of In Motion Video Productions.

Christina provided us with the video that now is on the gallery of the FABULUXE website, but I wanted to take a moment and share it here so that you can see her work. I cried during the wedding and I cried again when I viewed her awesome production of the video. It was like being there all over again—I know if I felt like that, Christina’s clients must feel the same way, and that is an awesome way to feel. I can’t say enough fabulous things about her so if you are in need of a great videographer, look her up!
