Working with Rachael and Jay was like a dream come true!

These nature and wine enthusiasts traveled all the way from beautiful Wyoming to wed on St. Simons for a relaxed, casual affair at Villa De Suenos. While the winds and clouds threatened outside the beautiful villa, a warm, sentimental affair awaited inside to celebrate the joining of these two families.

Rachael was such a stunning bride, we were so very excited about her first look with Jay! Sarah DeShaw did a wonderful job of capturing their personalities, but also their adoration of one another.

After a tough call due to the adverse weather conditions, we had to move the wedding ceremony inside. Once the musicians cued up, singing “Crazy Love”, I think we all knew that this was exactly how the ceremony was supposed to be. It ended up being very intimate, personal and endearing. No amount of sunshine could have given that to us!

As the youngest and last of his daughters to get married, this really touched her father’s heart. I love the look on her face as her dad begins to tear up before walking her down the aisle.

Working with Cathleen and Ashish was such a privilege and honor. The two did such a wonderful job of combining their personalities, faiths and families for their wedding. We came in to produce and coordinate their gorgeous Hindu-Christian wedding at the Jekyll Club’s Crane ornate Crane Cottage, which was filled with many beautiful ceremonies and traditions, vibrant colors, music and delicious foods! Their wedding was an absolute best– filled with so much fun and memories. I think my favorite part of the entire day was the look on Ashish’s face when he got to see Cathleen’s post-wedding surprise for him: an afterparty, with nothing but Taco bell to eat. Taco Bell is one of Ashish’s favorite vices, the only problem was as Cathleen and I plotted this surprise in the weeks prior to the wedding, I had the WORSE Taco Bell cravings. Subsequently, I ended up becoming the mayor of my local Taco Bell on Foursquare very quickly : ) Cathleen was such a sweet bride: since their wedding day fell on my birthday, she gifted me with the bottom tier of her wedding cake. A woman after my own heart!

Golden Isles Girls Night Out: Burlesque Event

Earlier this month, we produced and co-hosted a Girls Night Out event with the Sea Palms Resort on St. Simons in honor of the new movie, Burlesque featuring Christina Aguilera and Cher. This was the best must-attend party in the middle of the week! The event was a great opportunity the ladies of the islands to let their hair down, get dressed up and party Cocktails + Details style! Ladies walked the red carpet enjoyed tapas and special designer signature drinks (Dream and Breathless), which were a huge hit! Chris Moncus served as our resident paparazzi for the evening, while Justin Henshaw of Island Sound provided the music that kept everyone on the dance floor. James Grella and Jason Lavender of Image Artisans gave all of our ladies mini-makeovers prior to loading the ladies up for their royal transport over to a private screening of Burlesque.

We had a fabulous time— it was a great chance to see old friends and meet new ones. Another congratulations to Kristin Williams who won our ultimate swag bag giveaway which included beauty products, makeover and a vacation at the Casa Monica in St. Augustine, FL! I just want to say thank you to all of the professionals that helped me pull off this event: Wendy, Chris, Justin, James + Jason—you guys were awesome and I appreciate you all so much.

Stay on the look out for next Girls’ Night Out event in February— we’re going inside the genie bottle, baby!
