Sushi, please…Hold the Fish. Heavy on the Candy.

dessert-candy-sushi.jpgI’n not even going to pretend I can do anything heavier than the classic California Roll when me and Mr. Terrica go to our favorite sushi restaurant. Even our daughter and son enjoy it and you know how fickle kids are. I had a uber-cute client share this idea with me that she wants to do for her wedding…Get ready. Dessert Sushi. How cute is that! Instead of a candy bar (which she has grown weary of seeing as of late), we are going a dessert sushi bar. Too cute, huh?

So in prep for this, I’ve been reading about what it consists of as well as sketching and boarding some ideas for the bar table. As you can see, swedish fish and little cakes are used and decorated to look just like sushi. Not Martha has been a wonderful resource in learning more about making this “delicacy” as well as other recipes and options. Flickr has some great pictures of the different ways that you can present and woo your guests with dessert sushi
