I Want a Wedding like…Roselyn Sánchez :: Part Two
We’re back with the rest of our I Want a Wedding like…Roselyn Sánchez post. Here are some other details from her wedding:
What she did…
Each place setting was embellished with beaded napkin rings, menus and flower blooms.
What you can do…
The same thing! Nothing spells luxury and personal than to treat each guest to a beautiful place setting. Make your napkin part of your design, by incorporating napkin rings, chargers, menus and even single blooms, berries or other props. You can opt to make your napkin functional by using a pocket fold to hold your menus, place cards, flowers, thank you notes or favors. (BBJ linen, Lendable Linens)
What she did…
The wedding cake, albeit simple in design and color, was made very dramatic with the beautiful colored flowers, similar to the bridal bouquet. She also opted to use a non traditional, but very contemporary cake stand, which allows the cake to be showcased.
What you can do…
Your use of flowers can range from using real flowers, sugar paste flowers or a mix of the two. Additionally, the placement of the flowers can add to the drama of the cake or create drama of its own. Cascades, flowers atop or even in between tiers are just a few great ways to add this beautiful concept to your wedding cake. What she did…
I love these close ups of the actual flowers for the wedding because it shows the great mix of florals. Additionally, the urns are a wonderful example as to different ways you can enhance your venue. If your venue has a garden or courtyard, and has several decorative urns, pots or stands, consider filling these with your wedding flowers to add to the overall event experience.
Here is a shot of Roselyn’s wedding event team putting together the linens for the ceremony chairs. She used flowing chair jackets, bands and pads to tie in the rich and light colors in the architecture.
What you can do …
Don’t wait to show off at your reception with your linens—incorporate them into your ceremony as well. Go as far as using chair covers at your ceremony if you wish—begin the experience early. (Top chair cap and jacket by BBJ Linen, second photo Wildflower Linen by Aaron Delesie)
