The Original Fabuluxe™

splash1

If it’s fabulous and it’s luxe, it’s us.  Fabuluxe™.

There are, however, some things that aren’t fabuluxe.   Most recently there has been a sudden influx of companies entering the wedding industry using the Fabuluxe name and trademark.  We have spent a tremendous amount of time building and developing Fabuluxe and its brand.  We’ve become known for innovative wedding designs, concepts and conversation.  Our lifestyle event designers  strive very hard to provide our clients with couture service experiences that are so detailed and intricate that our service becomes interwoven with new friendships between our staff and wonderful clients.  While there may be other companies attempting to capitalize on what we have built, you can rest assured that we are the same company you have grown to love and respect for the past six years.  We have not taken on any new affiliations or ventures.

If you socially network with us or would like to, you can find the official Fabuluxe™ sites here:

Cocktails and Details Virtual Soiree: Look Who’s Coming!

Cocktails and Details Virtual Soiree

I am blessed to know so many phenomenal people in the industry– awesome individuals that are creative, inspiring and genuinely care about their clients and their work.  Because of the wonderful blogosphere, brides have access to so many talented planners across the country.  We are hosting a virtual party to allow brides to get to know and gain advice from some of their favorite wedding bloggers  on an intimate level.

Look who’s coming to party with us on December 4th!

image Liene from Blue Orchid Designs.  A passion for life and giving has taken Liene all across the world– and she uses her unique experiences to help brides create  beautiful, yet meaningful weddings.  In addition to the Blue Orchid Blog, Liene also splits her time to her other business, The Smart Planner.  The Smart Planner helps wedding planners hone and develop their skills so that they run a more effective and successful business. Her expertise has been sought out by such publications such as Phoenix Bride and Groom, Conde Nast Portfolio, Arizona Weddings and CNN.  Liene resides in Phoenix, Arizona and also has offices in DC and New York.

image Andria Lewis of Andria Lewis Events.  Andria’s love for life is showcased in every one of her events. Her no-nonsense style ensures that they are run with military precision, but her passion for clients is what brings out the beauty of their love.  When you meet Andria, you instantly feel like you are talking with an old friend and feel comfortable entrusting your event to her.  It is in good hands too– Andria’s eye for detail and color have been documented in issues of Midsouth Southern Bride and Commercial Appeal.  You can find Andria’s excitement and advice on her blog, The Planner Pages and in Memphis, Tennessee and surrounding areas.

image Aletha Vandermaas of Pearls Events. Aletha’s fresh perspective and eye for design have made her one of this year’s best up and coming wedding planners in the industry.  She has completely infused her experience in the bridal, service and corporate business industries with her love for weddings and created a company that has excited brides all across Michigan and the United States.  Although, she has been featured in Brides Michigan and The Knot Michigan, nothing shines brighter than Aletha’s smile and her desire to make one couples wedding day the most beautiful day in their lives.  Aletha’s sound advice can be found at The Pearls Events Blog while she can be found in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

image Isis Petrie of Posh Events, LLC.  Isis combines two parts of her life to maintain one of New Jersey’s hottest event planning firms:  she’s a self-professed social butterfly and an accountant by trade.  Isis’ clients are assured that they will have the party that is the event of the year but also fiscally responsible.  Isis accentuates the luxury and personalities in all of her client’s events– making each a unique party experience.  She’s been a contributing expert for the Courier Post and also featured as one of Impulse Magazine’s “35 under 35” successful young business persons making a difference in their community.  In addition to setting trends, Isis also sits on the board of the Southern New Jersey chapter’s networking group for the Association of Bridal Consultants.  Destination…Soiree is a virtual extension of Isis’ creativity and talent, while she, in reality, can be located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Oochi Pucci La La La!

image

I have always been in love with Pucci and his bold, sexy prints, which are perfect for the summer time. He makes great “airport clothes”….You know, the kind of clothes that you where when you travel that makes people say “OMG, is that ______________ (insert name here)?” J.Lo made him famous a few summers ago when she brought back the 50’s and 60’s patterned mania. Pucci has been called the “Prince of Prints” and “The King of Casual Couture”, by bringing the modern Florentine prints into the fashion world in a way that dares you to resist them. Just look at the Spring/Summer line that debuted last month

It’s really no wonder that when I have heard that patterns were going to be

If you are really lucky, you might be able to score some really nice Pucci Inspired dresses from a retailer for your chic bridal party to don…or better yet, find some gorgeous fabric and take it to a seamstress!

It’s Finally Here!

cover We have completed the eZine Makeover! In this issue, we have “martinis” with my purse twin, Scarlett Lillian. It was great to hear some of Scarlett’s thoughts on love and getting the perfect pictures for your wedding. We even discuss some things that could help you decide if a destination wedding is the right type of wedding for you, and ways to get out of your wedding planning slump. There is also a resource section of links that will be helpful too.

There are some other great features in this issue, so be sure to sign up and check it out!

I just want to say a very special thank you to all the support I have received from my wedding planner friends.  You guys mean the world to me 🙂  Thank you Shanika, Randi, and Katasha for being so sweet to blog about it!

We Were Here.

We had a fantabulous time at the wedding show, yesterday at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. Half the fun was had in the set up and break down of the booth. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun on a Sunday– but my girlfriends are awesome!

Abby, Lindsay and Streater– Thank YOU for a fantastic show, your hard work and fabulousness. You are exactly what fabuluxe is 🙂

Getting ready for show time

This is Lindsay ALL day long. She is just hilarious. We forbade her from making ANY predictions for the show. Linds has the ability to say “What if…” or “Wouldn’t it be funny if…” at the rehearsal or setup during the day of the wedding…and it actually happens. Lindsay is uber creative. Just ask her about the bucket of flowers she got during a wedding we had.

Abby Setting Up the Cocktail Tables

Abby is also hilarious. I can’t publicly post what she said on Sunday that made me fall out on the floor laughing…but she is awesome. I can explain an idea to Abby and she makes it happen.

Streater Setting Up the Main Table

This is our new intern, Streater. Cutest name ever. I think we’ve officially found our “sweet one” (because Lord knows it wasn’t me). Streater was great at the show and was able to keep up with us. Prayerfully, we haven’t scared the poor girl.

Fabuluxe Bridal Show Setup

Here we are….all done and ready for show time!

Fabuluxe Bridal Show Setup

Another view of our booth. You couldn’t miss us– as soon as you walked in the convention center, you had our wedding sexy in your face colors right before your eyes. It was great because so many brides said, “We just KNEW it was you because your booth looked just like your ad!”

Our Cocktail Table

One of our cocktail tables, beautiful matching guestbook (a gift from my most special girlfriend, Precious. I owe Precious everything. She listened to me pine and moan over this setup!)

Fabuluxe Setup

Our main table… That candelabra is another sweetie from Precious. It rocks to have friends with awesome taste! Our brochures sat in a tray of crystals 🙂

Straton Hall's Booth

This is Straton Hall‘s setup. UBER gorgeous. The food was actually presented BEAUTIFULLY– suspended from their booth. So weddingsexy 🙂

Straton's Fabulous Food

Here is one of the suspended areas of their booth– this was the best pecan chicken salad ever. How cute are the little bowls?

Jay, Stacy and Terrica

This is me with Jay and Stacy, owners of Straton Hall. Angel of The Beachview Club caught us midlaugh because Stacy was talking MUCH trash.

Stacey and Terrica

My super girlfriend, Stacey, of the Jekyll Island Authority. They handle the rentals for weddings at Faith Chapel, Villa Mariana, The Convention Center, Morgans, and the Beach Deck.

The Fab Ones

My fabbies. How cute are they!?

James and me

Me with the fabulous James Grella of Image Artisans, Inc. You have heard me talk about how wonderful James is. But here is the sad but true part…James didn’t even recognize me when I was all dressed up. He’s so used to seeing me in “prep mode” for weddings, that he doesn’t see the rockstar come show time.

The Fab Ones

Us playing with the camera.

This picture did not come out the way I wanted it to, but still had to post it for sentimental reasons…it’s our “Destination Wedding” picture, right, Lindsay?

Wendy B and Terrica

Me with Wendy of Sea Palms Resort. She is an absolute sweetheart and knows my affinity for good cake.

The Fab Ones

And here we are– the Fabuluxe Family 🙂

Come Meet Us. We Don’t Bite….anymore.

It’s official!  Social quarantine is over!  We will be at The Brunswick News Bridal Show on February 3, 2008 (this Sunday) from 1-5 p.m.! All of us- live and in living color!

Stop by and see us– introduce yourself! Tell us about your wedding!

Meet Streater!

Hi Everyone! I’m Streater, the newest intern at FabuLUXE Events!

Let me tell you a little bit about myself…. I grew up on the coast of South Carolina and attended University of South Carolina. After 3 years there I decided to travel for awhile (all the way to Egypt!) and eventually ended up in Boston to finish school.

While in Boston I worked for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel doing almost everything under the sun. I have just graduated from Boston University with a degree in Hospitality Administration.

A few things about me…. I’m very passionate about 5 star service and exotic trips. I love: details, pink, romance, fresh flowers, old-fashioned things, cooking, theme parties, and weddings of course!

I have always wanted to work in the wedding and event industry and I am thrilled for the chance to learn from the best!!!! I am so excited to work and learn from Terrica and the team.
