Real King and Prince Wedding: Stacy and Matt | St. Simons Wedding

st simons king and prince wedding photo by brooke roberts wedding planning and coordinator Cocktails and Details

Stacy and Matt’s wedding was a beautiful,  classic affair held at the King and Prince. Exchanging “I do’s” on the beachfront lawn started the festive evening full of dancing, photo booth excursions, the “crowning” of the Bride and the Maid of Awesome and fully choreographed dance number by the groom and groomsmen.  :).

Matt proposed to Stacy at the LOVE statue in Philly–this was later showcased as the couple’s cake topper.  Having grown up in Brunswick, Stacy knew she wanted to come home for her wedding after moving to Pennsylvania.  The King and Prince on Saint Simons Island was a dream location with its gorgeous views and opulent ballrooms, not to mention stellar service.  Using traditional colors of black and white, with an accent of red, the event was amazing and timeless.

Fashion Monday: Anne Barge Fall/Winter 2012

I am truly adoring the fall and winter line from Anne Barge!  It is truly a throwback to the Great Gatsby-esque glam of yesteryear.  While vintage weddings are still hanging on, glamour is also still making a huge impact, so this is a great mélange of the two styles.   Anne says that this season, “We were all about lace. Totally romantic, ethereal, and very classic Anne Barge this season. My inspiration for this collection comes from a historical take on texture.”

And there is definitely plenty here!  The rich complexities of the garments, bias cuts, sweetheart necklines, layers and lots of details!

Real Jacksonville Wedding: Scarlett and Stephen

jacksonville wedding planner :: photo by zach and jody photography

Going through some pictures, I realized I never shared Scarlett and Stephen‘s beautiful wedding!  Their wedding meant so much to me because I have absolutely adored Scarlett as a friend and colleague for many years now. A naturally beautiful and bubbly personality grew into an even more vibrant and sparkling person when she fell in love with Stephen, which made me love Stephen, too!

As wedding photographers, we all knew that photography would be super important, but the two also knew that the inclusion of details are what would make the photography spectacular.   The couple enlisted the creative genius of celebrity photographers Zach and Jody Gray to document their day.

The wedding was steeped in sentiment and faith.  Scarlett and Stephen decided to get married at Scarlett’s mother’s Victorian home, with a religious service and ceremony taking place in the beautiful backyard garden.  Anyone that has followed Scarlett’s blog, knows her infinite love for her poodle pup, Rhett– who served as the honorary ring bearer.  Scarlett’s bouquet was a mix of her favorite shades of pink, with a pop of blue, by way of a blue butterfly.  Scarlett’s father passed away the year before, but told her he would always be near her every time she saw a blue butterfly.  This was a touching way to have him close during the wedding.

I love the soft, yet sultry colors in the Metro Chic palette. While bordering on the antediluvian on their own, there can be a classic, modern, vintage and romantic touch to the palette depending upon the way you take it or choose to express yourself:

stately black candelabras
decadent croquembouche
lush pink peonies
sparkling champagne
vintage chest
romantic handwritten love letter
platinum tufted chair
