Another fabulous week has arrived, so that means another fabulous invitation company! This week, we are loving I Do Design. It is not hard to see why from their gorgeous designs. I love that they aren’t too girly or frilly. Instead, they are modern, sometimes retro, natural, and just beautiful!
Another thing I love about I Do Design is that you can get a current design customized or you can have them create an invitation that is couture to you.

I have heard about this project in the hotel world for the last couple of years, and to tell you the truth: I never thought they would pull it off. But some amazing engineers did. Now, because of them, you can get married and have your honeymoon….Under Water!!!
They have 24 suites that are accessed by an elevator that plunges 40 feet into the water to deliver you to your room. They also provide 48 bungalows on land for those a little nervous about sleeping with the sharks…
They aren’t taking reservations yet, but they do have a package set up now. Its for 7days and 6nights on the Poseidon Mystery Island (in Figi). The Package Includes:
~Transportation from the airport on their private airplane.
~4 nights in a beach or over-water bungalow
~2 nights in an undersea suite
~A submarine dive
~A beginners class for piloting a mini-sub
~Wine tasting class
and
~Gourmet meals and drinks
….all for a mere $15,000 per person! (thats right: thats $30,000 for a couple!)

Now that the writers have given the green light, the Oscars are a go. So what does that mean, luxelings? That’s right! The Governor’s Ball! I was checking out one of my favorite reads, YumSugar, which had several inside exclusives on the Ball.
YumSugar talked with Cheryl Cecchetto, of Sequoia Productions, the event producer for the Governor’s Ball, and she explained that there would be 1,675 floating transparent globes, gold orchids flown in from Thailand, and the 15 shades of red roses. The gorgeous arrangements (as seen below) were done by Mark Held of Mark’s Garden (who has done the weddings of Tori Spelling, Gwen Stefani, and Shaquille O’Neal).
King Cuisine, Wolfgang Puck created a fabulous menu for the festivities, which included passed hors d’oeuvres, a ceviche station, a noodle station, a shellfish station, a pizza station, a sushi station, antipasti and a Snake River Farms Wagyu Beef entree.

Now, while the lights from Harrod’s aren’t made up of the same material as the fiber optic light, you can see how a combination of lighting designs and concepts can really make one area pop for your reception. I could be your bar, your cake table, your sweetheart table…wherever you want.
I have always been in love with Pucci and his bold, sexy prints, which are perfect for the summer time. He makes great “airport clothes”….You know, the kind of clothes that you where when you travel that makes people say “OMG, is that ______________ (insert name here)?” J.Lo made him famous a few summers ago when she brought back the 50′s and 60′s patterned mania.
